		<description>The firefox thing has been driving me mad too.
I use Linux Mint on the dev computer that I use most and it has been a real pain.
I filed a bug in Launchpad:

Also complained in the Mint forums:
http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=171&amp;t=40388
On top of no more Java applets, the damn thing also disabled these extensions that I need:
1. Code Burner for Firebug 1.5
2. Library detector 1.0.2

Bottom line, you are not alone with these problems.
Sloppy job for an update that will be used by millions of people.</description>
